z5n+which+is+Ghostface+and+the+victims+that+Sydney%2C+Gail+and+the+other+characters+including+the+teenagers.+Sydney+becomes+the+hero+though+like+she+does+in+the+other+films.+%3Cstrong%3ETodorov%27s+theory%3C%2Fstrong%3E+is+true+in+this+film+as+there+is+an+%3Cstrong%3Eequilibrium%3C%2Fstrong%3E+which+has+a+%3Cstrong%3Edisruption%3C%2Fstrong%3E+with+Ghostface+returning+just+as+Sydney+does+and+as+the+film+progresses+the+%3Cstrong%3Eequilibrium%3C%2Fstrong%3E+is+%3Cstrong%3Eresolved%3C%2Fstrong%3E+and+there+is+then+a+%3Cstrong%3Enew+equilibrium%3C%2Fstrong%3E.%0D%0A%0D%0A%3Cu%3E%3Cb%3EREPRESENTATION%3C%2Fb%3E%3C%2Fu%3E%0D%0AThe+characters+are+represented+as+normal+people+in+the+film.+The+teenagers+are+represented+as+typical+teenagers+going+off+having+parties+which+is+a+typical+horror+convention+for+a+murderer+to+make+an+appearance.+The+teenage+girls+are+being+represented+as+innocent+as+this+has+never+happened+to+them+before+whereas+the+older+characters+have+been+through+this+and+have+more+experience+and+they+are+shown+to+be+more+brave.+Even+the+main+character+Sydney+is+showing+the+use+of+bravery+despite+the+fact+that+she+has+been+a+victim+from+the+very+first+Scream+movie.+Every+person+in+the+film+is+treated+as+a+victim+as+well+as+a+suspect+as+know+ones+who+the+killer+is.+The+iconic+villain+that+is+%27Ghostface%27+is+represented+as+evil%2C+cruel+and+scary+just+like+in+every+other+film.+There+are+role+reversals+with+Sydney%27s+neice+as+at+the+beginning+of+the+film+she+is+seen+as+a+victim+whereas+as+the+plot+continues+it+reveals+that+she+is+in+fact+the+villain.+The+trailer+doesn%27t+give+this+away+though+as+the+trailer+shows+Sydney%27s+and+her+friends+as+victims.+There+could+be+seen+as+typical+%3Cstrong%3Estereotypes%3C%2Fstrong%3E+as+the+woman+is+seen+as+the+victim+and+everyone+assumes+that+Ghostface+is+a+man%2C+however%2C+there+is+a+change+in+stereotypes+as+in+the+film+you+find+out+that+it+is+a+female+who+is+the+villain+playing+Ghostface.+%0D%0A%0D%0A%3Cstrong%3E%3Cu%3EMEDIA+LANGUAGE%3C%2Fu%3EMise-en-scene%3C%2Fstrong%3E+element+of+costume+is+kept+normal+as+people+are+meant+to+be+seen+as+average+people.+There+is+the+recognisable+Ghostface+mask+and+cloak+used+as+costume+and+prop+as+this+is+iconic+and+recognisable+to+the+audience+as+they+have+seen+this+before+if+they+have+seen+the+other+Scream+films.+Even+if+the+audience+haven%27t+seen+the+Scream+films%2C+people+are+still+aware+of+the+costume.+The+location+is+the+same+place+which+the+other+films+are+set+as+this+then+has+a+connection+to+the+previous+films+and+it+shows+the+changes+that+have+happened+as+this+film+is+set+a+few+years+later+to+the+others.+When+it+comes+to+the+%3Cstrong%3Esound%3C%2Fstrong%3E+used%2C+there+is+the+use+of+Ghostface%27s+voice+speaking+to+Sydney+on+the+phone+which+is+diagetic.+Using+the+villains+voice+adds+a+more+scarier+element+to+the+trailer.+The+trailer+starts+off+with+the+diagetic+sound+of+the+telephone+which+Sydney+then+answers+to+her+the+villain%27s+voice.+There+is+then+the+diagetic+sound+of+Ghostface%27s+laugh+which+echoes+followed+by+the+image+of+two+girls+screaming+to+add+fright.+There+is+then+non-diagetic+sound+which+is+low+and+slow+that+builds+up+to+become+faster.+The+the+diagetic+sound+of+dialogue+of+the+characters+discussing+the+events+comes+on.+%3Cstrong%3EEditing%3C%2Fstrong%3E+techniques+used+here+are+the+fade+to+blacks+which+then+show+a+small+clip+of+a+character+fade+onto+the+screen+for+it+to+fade+to+black+again+and+then+show+another+character.+This+happens+to+show+all+of+the+main+characters+in+the+film.+There+are+uses+of+medium+close+ups+and+close+ups+to+show+characters+facial+expressions+when+it+comes+to+%3Cstrong%3Ecinematography%3C%2Fstrong%3E.
